Dance World Cup Success again in 2022

Following on from our incredible success in 2021 – we made the brave decision to compete again in the 2022 Dance World Cup Competition.

This year – the competition was held in the stunning surroundings of San Sebastian, Spain. Myself, parents and 15 of our sensational dancers flew out to make some incredible memories together. We took two acrobatic routines to showcase – ‘Survival’ and ‘Fiesta’.

As always, the standard was incredibly high, with 19 other dance schools from all across the world also performing their routines. Grazia went on to place 1st and 6th place, achievements that will last with us forever. The whole experience, from start to finish, was outstanding. Watching the girls work so hard and put blood, sweat and tears into their performances was a very proud moment for me. I am constantly in awe of how determined these young ladies are.

We are forever grateful to have been given this incredible opportunity, and for all of the support, sponsors and fundraising our dance community gave us.

Hannah – Midlands Open TDCI Achievement

I am pleased to share the incredible news that one of our senior dancers, Hannah Goddard, recently competed in the TDCI competition. A first-time experience for both myself and for Hannah, one that we have aspired to be a part of for a long time.

TDCI is one of the longest-standing dance competitions in the UK. Dancers from all over come together to compete in various dance categories, and as you can imagine, the standard is extremely high.

As always, Hannah’s performances were outstanding, and in return, Hannah managed to achieve ‘Senior Acro Champion’ and ‘World Performer Heat Winner’. We will now attend the grand final in Blackpool, so watch this space for further updates in relation to Hannah’s Success.

Finally, I want to say a personal well done and thank you to Hannah, I have taught Hannah from a very young age, and she has been an absolute dream. Her hard work, commitment, attitude and dedication are always on top form, and I do believe she has a phenomenal dance career ahead of her.

Teacher Shield Achievement – 2022

In March 2022, we were very gratefully awarded the Overall Teacher Shield at the Associated Board of Dance’s awards ceremony at a recent set of competitions.

This award recognises schools within the competition that have outstanding results across the board in each age group and subject. I was shocked and thrilled to receive this award which would certainly not be possible without my incredible teaching team, outstanding dancers and all their families and carers.

The Overall Teacher Shield was a huge achievement for Grazia. Thank you, ABD.
